Our Quechua Alpaca range is completely fair trade, the fruit of close collaboration between umàlf and Quechua Alpaca. We have a long-standing friendship with them and are delighted to be able to offer you their exceptional products exclusively. Working with QA wools means giving meaning to your work, knitting or crocheting wools that are responsible and socially committed.

Fingering 3 ply Quechua Alpaca is very fine and, above all, very soft. Its semi-shaded colours, produced in our hand-dyeing workshop in Peru, are luminous. Hand-dyed wool.

You will work this wool in 3 mm, to obtain a sample of 28 to 30 stitches per 10 cm. It is possible to double this 3 ply fingering with a 2 ply Lace (the lace measures 800m, you need 1 skein of QA lace to double 2 skeins of QA fingering). You'll get more stitches for 10 cm (about 22 to 24). Ideal for your knitting and crochet projects. These wools are suitable for projects intended for sensitive skin: children, babies, adults, etc.

As they are not Superwash, your projects should be hand-washed. And, as we know, it's not necessary to wash beautiful wools too much. I therefore recommend that you air your woollens regularly and only wash them a few times a year, using a mild shampoo.

You could say that our QA Fingering is a Light Fingering, made up of 3 strands.

Composition

Each skein weighs 100g and measures approximately 400 metres.

QA Fingering is made from 100% Pure Baby Alpaca, approximately 17 microns. Your wool is infinitely soft and absolutely non-stinging!

Fair Trade certified. Certified Good Animal Care. Alpacas are reared on the high plateaux of the Andes, in semi-freedom. They are highly protected and do not suffer any ill-treatment.

Despite taking great care to ensure that our photos are true to colour, they may vary from one screen to another.
