Enter the world of our new wool, Polar, and discover its softness, its puffiness and its originality. With this wool, your works will have a down jacket look, like a slightly thick mohair. And how soft! Working with Polar is to adopt it! You will be charmed by its infinite softness. It is a wool that does not itch and that will fill you with pleasure, whether knitting or crocheting it, or wearing it. You can even wear it directly on the skin because it is so soft and pleasant.

Polar is entirely hand-dyed in our micro-dyeing workshop located in Sciez-Sur-Léman, in Haute-Savoie.

Specificities :

Polar is composed of 38% Baby Alpaca, 25% Merino and 37% Prima Cotton. Each skein weighs 100g and measures 400 meters. It is classified as fingering wool. It is not superwash. It will have to be washed by hand or in a wool program if you have a recent machine, equipped with a really adequate wool program.

You can knit or crochet your Polar with needles or hooks between 4 and 5.5 mm. Count about 22 stitches for 10cm in 4mm and more with larger needles.

3 to 4 skeins will be necessary to make a size M or L sweater. So remember to order the quantity of wool you will need. The colors presented here are not reproducible.

Each bath offered here is unique. The skeins are hand-dyed, in baths of 5 skeins at a time.

Projects – Utilities :

With Polar, you can make sweaters, vests with a fluffy look. It is an ideal and perfect wool for making ultra-warm, soft and enveloping stoles or shawls. You will want to curl up in your works!!! It is also perfect for projects dedicated to children, who are very sensitive and who prefer very soft wools.
