Dye Kit Eco Rainbow - Une Maille à la Fois

Introducing our brand-new dyeing starter kit, the Eco Rainbow Kit! It's GOTS-certified, version 7.0, so it's safe for nature, safe for dyeing your fibers, and safe for you...

However, you'll need to carefully follow the safety instructions included in your kit.

GOTS pigments are recognized as inputs in the organic textile industry. GOTS certification is very demanding. It meets high quality, eco-responsible, heavy metal-free and CMR-free criteria.

Your kit includes :

• 7 glass jars of 10gr each, containing our 7 colors.
• A practical dyeing guide, to help you follow our advice throughout your experience. This guide contains 2 recipes: 1 for dyeing animal yarns (wool, nylon, silk...) and 1 for dyeing vegetable yarns (cotton, linen, hemp...).
• citric acid for dyeing animal fibers and sodium carbonate for dyeing vegetable fibers
• 3 PH test strips to check your baths
• 2 dyeing minis to get you started

You can dye plain or semi-dark. You can also color your yarns or play with speckles! All with your Eco Rainbow kit! On average, you can dye almost a hundred skeins with a single kit. The darker your colors, the more pigments you'll need. Conversely, the softer your colors, the more you can dye! So there's plenty to do with your Eco Rainbow Kit!

You'll need pots and pans or other equipment for your dyeing sessions. Gloves are highly recommended to avoid getting too dirty! Pigments are powdery (“volatile”). We recommend using a mask, especially for speckles.

You'll find dyeable wools on our site: our Natur'Carikai, our love wool for socks and projects requiring durability and strength. You'll also find our Miss DK Yak base and our Lucy Loop, a 100% merino SW single yarn.
